Last Will & Testament
What Is A Last Will & Testament?
A Last Will and Testament is a legal document that allows you to direct how your property will be distributed after your death. It gives you the ability to decide who will receive your assets, who will serve as the Personal Representative of your estate, and, when applicable, who you would like to nominate as guardian for your minor children.
A Will can also create testamentary trusts for children or other beneficiaries, allowing assets to be managed and distributed according to the terms you establish.
Without a valid Will, property subject to probate is generally distributed according to Florida law, which may not reflect your personal wishes.
At Alterman & Poltun, we prepare customized Last Wills and Testaments designed to clearly express your intentions, reduce uncertainty for your family, and coordinate with the other components of your estate plan.
